Daytime at the museum, full commitment at the day care center
Beaming faces were the reward for a day full of action, knowledge and adventure - that's how the excursion with the children from the elementary school on Thelottstraße in Munich's Hasenbergl district can be summed up.
The "Team Trip" visited the Museum Mensch und Natur (Man and Nature Museum) together with two 4th graders, thus fulfilling a long-cherished wish of theirs. In addition to a captivating guided tour that took them through space to the interior of the earth, there was a lot to discover and actively try out everywhere - one highlight was certainly the earthquake that the approximately 30 children simulated in a joint effort! The day was over in no time at all, and after a snack of muffins and apple juice in the museum café, it was time to say goodbye. Too bad!
The second Munich project was implemented by "Team Hands-On" in cooperation with Diakonie München und Oberbayern. Together with the children from the "children's rooms," they spruced up the outdoor area: weeds were removed, pots were replanted, benches were sanded and painted, and a new materials cabinet was built. Also inside, a lot of work was done - a therapy room was given a new feel-good atmosphere with fresh and friendly wall paint. The day ended with a soccer match between the children and the secunauts. Who won? In the end, everyone!
