Performance of a NIS-2-Gap-Analysis with multiple locations in a variety of EU countries

CLAAS is a globally active agricultural machinery company that focuses on innovative developments in its field.
Due to the new NIS-2 regulations, the customer decided to conduct a Gap Analysis for all affected companies within the group with regard to the NIS-2 implementation law relevant to each company.
The aim here is to record and evaluate the current status quo, identify gaps, and, as part of an action plan, identify solutions for achieving the target status (fulfillment of the requirements of the respective national NIS-2 implementation law or the NIS-2 EU Directive, if not yet adopted locally).

In addition, a uniform presentation of the results reports ensures that the results of the companies are comparable, so that synergy effects can be identified and exploited when implementing measures.
At the end of the project, the customer had a structured and topic-related plan with individual steps to close the gaps in a targeted manner.

Description of activities relevant to the project:

  • Organization of kick-off events for the individual companies located in Germany, Hungary, and France
  • Monitoring, preparation, and presentation of the development of the status of the respective NIS-2 implementation laws for each relevant EU country throughout the entire project duration
  • Preparation and implementation of gap analysis for each location in the form of self-assessments, as well as content review of existing documentation and regulations and supplementary topic-specific interviews, including consideration of the respective national NIS-2 implementation law
  • Preparation and evaluation of the results of the Gap Analysis, creation of a results presentation for each company with the following information, among other things: current status, target status, evaluation of findings according to severity, action plan, maturity level of subject areas, and prioritization
