Fast migration with minimal intervention in operations - from today to TI 2.0

Time is money, and this applies in particular to downtime at the service provider. This is why secunet places particular emphasis on fast, simple migration for the TI gateway. We not only consider the change from connector to TI gateway, but also the entire possible chain from the connector, via the possible use of TIaaS with connectors hosted in the data center, via the TI gateway, to TI 2.0. The respective migration is tool-supported, remote-capable and uses simple mechanisms to avoid adjustments to the network. For example, a TI Gateway client in the network replaces the previous connector unnoticed.

Customizable performance for each customer - both during setup and during operation

The secunet TI gateway is based on high-performance components that work in the background, particularly as a high-speed connector. In order to meet customer requirements at all times, the performance can be adjusted upwards and downwards during setup and also during operation. This means that the performance required is always available in a completely transparent manner.

All instances on the TI gateway are managed automatically and are highly available. If an error does occur, a quick failover switches from a potentially defective component to a replacement component.

Manageable

Role-based access - fully accessible via REST or management tools

The TI-Gateway can be managed for all roles prescribed by gematik and has comprehensive monitoring. Thanks to the comprehensive REST API, the TI gateway and all its components can be easily integrated into existing or future customer portals. The components are managed automatically in the background. User-friendly tools are available should it be necessary to access the backend.

The entire system is redundant, intelligently controlled and permanently monitored

A decisive advantage of the central TI gateway over the individual connectors is the safeguarding of availability. Experts look after the highly redundant system 24/7, and service providers are not affected. The components also have an intelligent control system. For example, hardware failures are directly absorbed by other instances - without the service provider noticing.

Overall, the security of the TI gateway is substantial:

• All virtual conector instances on the high-speed connector are strictly separated.
• All user data is encrypted and secured.
• All components are subject to certification and approval.

Green/sustainable

The previous secunet connector? - No electronic waste!

gematik specifies the switch from previous connectors to the TI gateway. However, this does not mean that the powerful hardware, which has been rolled out thousands of times, has reached the end of its service life. At secunet, the connector is given a second life.

We collect the old secunet connectors from the market, sort out the best ones for recycling and load them with the

secunet medical connect

This means that the hardware with completely new software serves as a TI service client in the service provider environment. The box can accommodate additional services such as firewall, remote administration and more, and can be intuitively orchestrated via central management.

Win-win: The hardware of the connector can continue to be used as a multiflexible client with new software - good for the environment and good for the customer!

Connection of any number of customers, card terminals or device identities

The TI gateway is not subject to any performance limits when connecting devices: Any number of customers, card terminals or device identities can be created or connected and, depending on the required performance, each virtual connector instance can be adapted to be freely scalable. Device identities can be scaled effortlessly through the use of hardware security modules.

By using standard hardware from our partners, the system can be upgraded transparently for the user in the background at any time.
