AUTOMA+ Congress

September 25-26 | Zurich

The healthcare system is under a significant transformation aimed at connecting the capabilities and resources of all stakeholders. This interconnection is further reinforced by the rapid increase in digitization initiatives. The list of projects is growing steadily, reflecting the importance of this topic.

As an IT security service provider, secunet is playing a key role in the digital transformation of the healthcare sector with the aim of providing technologies that reliably protect confidential medical data, its transmission and medical networks. At this year's AUTOMA+ congress in Zurich, secunet is pushing the topic of "Healthcare Automation and Digitalisation" further, among other things by participating in and moderating the "Trust and Digital Privacy" roundtable, on Tuesday 26 September at 12:30 pm. The focus here will be on trust and protection of digital health data. Dr. Tobias Urban will also give a presentation entitled "From Sensor to Cloud: Towards Building a Resilient Healthcare Ecosystem." In it, he explains the importance of secure data transfer, networked medical technology, a trusted edge infrastructure and the protection of sensitive healthcare data. These topics are of utmost relevance as digitization is fundamentally changing the way healthcare works and will continue to do so. The conference gathers more than 250 participants* from over 135 different companies, providing an ideal platform for the exchange of ideas and know-how.

Creating a resilient digital health system requires not only the use of innovative technologies, but also a deep understanding of the security and protection of patient data and medical systems. In order to strengthen the trust of all stakeholders in a digital health system, all potential risks around data security must be minimized. After all, digitization, cybersecurity and flexibility are not opposites. In synergistic interaction, they can pave the way to a secure and connected future, a trustworthy and digital healthcare system.

The collaboration between secunet and HONIC on the GDPR-compliant research platform for medical advances in healthcare is a good example of the creation of a trustworthy and compliant data environment and a synergetic interaction.
