In the first pharmacies and practices participating in the field test, the eHealth connector has already been installed and the first applications are running. This requires the cooperation of a large number of companies and institutions. For the participating medical and dental practices the companies InterData GmbH (with the practice management system InterARZT), Frey ADV GmbH (QUINCY), INDAMED GmbH (MEDICAL OFFICE) and S3 Praxiscomputer GmbH (S3), all of which are equipped with the TI package of Deutsches Gesundheitsnetz (DGN) and practice cards (SMC-B) from medisign, will take over the installation and technical support.
Field testing partner in the pharmacy environment is the pharmacy-owned NOVENTI Group, a full-service provider offering its customers all services from a single source. The market leader in the German healthcare market has equipped the first pharmacies with the latest connector and merchandise management software and successfully exchanged data with the electronic health card. In the clinical area, the Augusta-Kranken-Anstalt gGmbH in Bochum is participating in the field test. In this case, the secunet konnektor for data centres is used, a special design of the connector with advantages for hospitals and large medical facilities.
In the field test, patients and the participating service providers can try out the new specialist medical applications emergency data management and electronic medication plan. The field test will be carried out in the region and with the support of the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Westfalen-Lippe (KVWL). The regional hospital association NRW e.V. (KG NW) also supports the field test.
The secunet konnektor has been used by service providers to connect to the TI since the end of 2018. In the future, TI will offer a range of medical applications for which healthcare providers require connectors in the "eHealth" version. The secunet konnektor is already prepared for this version. The online upgrade to the eHealth connector can be installed after its unrestricted approval and activated by license. This applies to both the secunet konnektor for medical practices and the secunet konnektor for data centres.
