Gesa-Maria Rustemeyer is a qualified lawyer and has been employed by secunet since 2007. She previously completed her law studies at the Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, passing both the First and Second State Examinations in Berlin.
After graduating, Rustemeyer began working in the legal department at the Berlin office of secunet Security Networks AG and completed a Master's degree in Information Law at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg while working. In the process, she helped shape the increasing demands on the legal department in a growing company and ultimately took over as head of the department in 2017. Rustemeyer accompanied the restructuring of secunet, which led, among other things, to the spin-off of the legal department into secunet Service GmbH.
Through her role in the secunet Group, Rustemeyer has regular contact with colleagues from different areas, not only in administration but also in sales and product management as well as development. She is therefore well placed to follow the impact of corporate decisions on the situation of employees. As part of the first election for employee representatives on the Supervisory Board of secunet Security Networks AG in March 2019, she was given one of the two employee representative mandates.
