The AFCEA Exhibition is one of the most important events for information and communications technology in the defence and security sector. The 39th edition takes place on 12 and 13 May 2026 at the World Conference Center Bonn, under the theme "Networked Thinking & Secure Action as a Response to Whole-of-Government Defence." With more than 250 exhibitors and over 4,000 attendees, it provides a central platform for exchange between the Bundeswehr, government agencies, and the IT and communications industry.

One-Stop-Shop for IT Infrastructure in Classified Environments

The defence industry is handling increasingly sensitive data: the number of classified projects is growing rapidly, both within individual organisations and across the sector. Operational expectations are rising in step. Mobility, collaboration, and AI support are becoming standard requirements even in restricted environments.

That combination puts pressure on IT infrastructure that few architectures are designed to handle. Running open, corporate, and classified networks in parallel, securely connected and centrally manageable, is a genuine engineering challenge.
