Smart Country Convention: Together with HPE and NVIDIA, secunet presents rapidly deployable AI for highly sensitive data

Companies and public authorities with high security and compliance requirements will soon be able to quickly deploy artificial intelligence (AI) productively – without lengthy proof-of-concepts, but with full legal certainty. This is made possible by a collaboration between secunet, HPE, and NVIDIA. The integration of the security components of the SINA Cloud also enables multi-tenant operation. The solution will be presented at the Smart Country Convention in Berlin. secunet will be there from September 30 to October 2 at hub27, booth 204.

The joint solution is based on HPE Private Cloud AI, a turnkey complete system for AI applications developed jointly by HPE and NVIDIA to enable fast and easy deployment of private AI applications. Market research institute IDC recently ranked HPE Private Cloud AI as a ‘leader’ in its analysis of the market for private AI systems. The system is delivered fully integrated and preconfigured and can be put into operation in a very short time. HPE Private Cloud AI has been integrated with the security layer of the SINA Cloud. In addition, automation, self-services and operational support by security-checked personnel in Germany offer a high-performance cloud experience. The air-gapped solution is installed either on-premises at the customer's site or in colocation data centres. This allows customers to retain complete control over sensitive data.

"Together with two strong players in the field of AI, we are solving a challenge that currently concerns many administrations and companies with strict security requirements," says Marc-Julian Siewert, CEO of secunet. "These organisations want to use AI applications and set up corresponding projects, but often get stuck in the proof-of-concept phase – not least because of complex compliance evaluations. By combining the expertise of the three partner companies, we can offer a solution that will get our customers out of this impasse in the shortest possible time. secunet's core competence is our decades of experience in high-level IT security, and I am delighted that we can contribute this to this innovative solution."

Get AI projects up and running faster

The AI solution is multi-tenant, meaning it provides strict separation between entities such as departments, teams or projects. This ensures that sensitive data remains protected at all times and that the AI can only access the content intended for it. Compliance requirements, including those relating to IT baseline protection (IT-Grundschutz), are met. In addition, the platform is fully preconfigured and comes with software and AI models, so customers don't have to start from scratch and can work productively with it from day one. What's more, it is flexibly scalable and adapts easily to changing conditions.

Administrations can purchase HPE Private Cloud with the integrated security layer of the SINA Cloud through existing HPE framework agreements. Related services are provided by security-cleared HPE employees from Germany. The services include installation and integration, operational support and, on request, operation of the entire system as a managed service in the customer's data centre or in a colocation data centre.
