Those attending the Annual General Meeting represented 78.8 % of the equity capital. The items on the agenda were accepted by an over 99% share of the vote.
In presenting his report Dr. Rainer Baumgart, Chairman of the Executive Board of secunet Security Networks AG, spoke about the business year of 2007, the current development of secunet and the forecast for the current year. Both in terms of sales and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) the Executive Board considers an increase of at least 10 % to be achievable. The main business driver remains the Secure Inter-Network Architecture (SINA), with which secunet is achieving the majority of its sales revenue both in this country and increasingly abroad. The Board sees further great opportunities in the expansion of secure communications infrastructures, in the electronic health insurance card and other large-scale public sector projects.
Commenting on the past business year, Dr. Rainer Baumgart said: “By keeping to our long-term strategy secunet has achieved a record year. For the coming years we are also anticipating double-digit growth in sales and earnings.”
