ENISA again appoints secunet expert to advisory panel

Volker Schneider becomes new member of the Permanent Stakeholders' Group [Essen/Heraklion, 4. September 2012] Last week ENISA, the European Network and Information Security Agency, announced the names of the new members of the Permanent Stakeholders' Group (PSG). Following Dr. Rainer Baumgart, CEO of secunet Security Networks AG, who sat on the ENISA advisory group between 2010 and 2012, Volker Schneider – another expert from the German IT security company – has been appointed for the next term.

The PSG is made up of 30 top information and communication technology (ICT) experts from all over Europe. They represent stakeholders in academia, the ICT industry and ICT user organisations. The PSG advises and supports the Executive Director of the ENISA on implementing the Agency's work programme.

Volker Schneider, a mathematics graduate, has worked for secunet since 2011. He has more than 20 years' experience in the IT security business both nationally and internationally.
