Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of secunet Security Networks AG declined at the same time from Euro 0.8 million in the first quarter of 2006 to Euro -0.2 million during the first quarter of the current year according to preliminary calculations. The reasons for this are the relatively low capacity utilisation, the sales mix as well as expenditure for the future in respect of the preparation of large projects.
