Smart Police Apps for mobile identity checks
Checking a person's identity as part of a police search has steadily increased over the past few years. When performing mobile identity checks, police forces require high secure mobile systems that deliver results in real time. Airbus’ Tactilon Dabat device and the secunet bocoa smart police app form together a powerful solution to securely and efficiently verify individuals in mobile police operations.
The companies will showcase this solution at CCW in Kuala Lumpur from June 18-20, 2019 in Hall 11, at booth G114.
The smart police app bocoa from secunet is part of the company’s comprehensive border control portfolio. The app supports mobile ID document checks as well as biometric checks, such as face and fingerprint. To verify the authenticity of an ID document, such as passports, ID cards, or residence permits, the machine-readable zone (MRZ) can be scanned with the smartphone camera and the chip can be read. The app employs an automated process that checks respective background systems and displays the check result directly on the smartphone screen. secunet bocoa is available for Android as well as iOS devices.
The Tactilon Dabat is the world’s first smartphone and full TETRA radio in one device. Using LTE, data can be send to a central background system for police searches. Through TETRA, the Tactilon Dabat can also be used for critical communications via the TETRA radio function. As a smartphone, it fully supports mobile applications, such as secunet bocoa.
The smart police app secunet bocoa is now available to police forces worldwide via the secure SmarTWISP(Portal) by Airbus allowing them to perform efficient mobile identity checks.
