secunet Relocates Training Facility to Dresden

Along with the increasing demand for high-security IT solutions, the demand for well trained personnel is also on the rise. secunet is staying abreast of the situation by moving into 300 m2 of theory and practical rooms in the World Trade Center Dresden.

The Training Center's modular program is primarily aimed at staff who work for authorities, German Armed Forces or companies that provide administrative support for SINA systems. SINA –Secure Inter-Network Architecture – is a system used to encrypt Internet-based communication and was developed at the Dresden site in cooperation with the German Federal Office for Information Security. SINA has been in successful use for many years by authorities and the armed forces in particular.

As before, the seminars offered at the Training Center range from courses dealing with basic network security procedures through to preparatory courses for the certified SINA Administrator examination. Furthermore, secunet will continue to offer tailor-made SINA product workshops.

The relocation of the Training Center from Munich to Dresden means that the training area has moved closer to the development site of the SINA product line. This is also beneficial for training course participants, as the training concepts for SINA training are developed in close collaboration with IT security experts from secunet's development divisions – and these are now just a stone's throw away from the Training Center itself.
