German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, visits secunet at CeBIT 2013

As part of her traditional tour of the trade fair, Chancellor Merkel paid secunet a visit together with the Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, and the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony, Stephan Weil. "In collaboration with the German Federal Office for Information Security, we develop automatic border control systems that make use of the advantages offered by electronic passports and solve the problem of increasing passenger numbers while at the same time ensuring a high level of security at airports," said Dr Baumgart, explaining the border control solution to the Chancellor.
