CARTES & IDentification, Dec 7-9 2010, Paris: secunet presents PKI Suite for eID

Today's sovereign documents contain data which is used in electronic format to authenticate the owner. To protect this data from unauthorized access and manipulation, eIDs only reveal the data if the reading device has the relevant key certificates. The international exchange of these certificates is performed via these Public Key Infrastructure solutions.

The eID PKI Suite solution presented by secunet at CARTES includes all ICAO PKI and EAC PKI security mechanisms – the PKIs of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Union (EAC – Extended Access Control). The solution also supports the communication protocol in accordance with CSN 36 9791 (SPOC) as well as with technical directive 03129 of the German Federal Office for Security in Information Technology.
With the eID PKI Suite, secunet is expanding its wide range of eID solutions, which already includes the Golden Reader Tool (GRT) Platinum Edition, the secunet biomiddle biometric middleware and services such as conformity testing.

"CARTES is one of the largest events in the world for decision-makers in the field of ID solutions. As a provider of recognized and proven biometrics and sovereign document solutions, there is no way that secunet could not take part," says Torsten Henn, head of the Government business unit at secunet Security Networks AG. "We look forward to interesting talks with potential partners and will be available with convincing arguments and products."

CARTES & IDentification 2010 takes place from December 7 to 9, 2010, at the Parc des expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte. The Giesecke & Devrient trade fair stand, on which secunet will be exhibiting, is found at position 4 J 001.
