Curriculum vitae

Dr Elmar Legge was a member of the Managing Board of the RWTÜV Group from 1991 to 2020. In addition to his duties as CFO, he also held the position of CFO of TÜV NORD AG, Hanover, in which RWTÜV holds a stake, from 2004 to 2015.

Dr Legge began his professional career in 1979 as a research assistant and lecturer at the Institute for Production and Investment Research at Göttingen University.

In 1982, Dr Legge moved to the paper industry to the Holzstoff AG group of companies, Basel (CH). As an authorised signatory he was responsible for corporate planning, organisation and IT of the German paper mills.

In 1987, Dr. Legge joined Hamburger Hafen- und Logistik AG (HHLA), Hamburg, as a member of the Executive Board. There he was responsible for corporate planning, controlling and organisation.

Since 1991, Dr Legge has worked for the RWTÜV group of companies in Essen; he retired for age-related reasons on 1 October 2020.

Since 2001, Dr Legge has been a member of the board of the GREIF Foundation, which promotes projects in the fields of technology and culture.
