The development of innovative products and services is the basis for successful IT companies. For solution providers that address public authorities there is an additional factor that needs to be taken into account: the conformity to standards that are set by official organisations like ISO or International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
secunet operates an evaluation laboratory for carrying out independent conformity tests. The test centre is built up according to internationally applied specifications for evaluation laboratories and meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. The lab’s separate and thus independent infrastructure and the highly qualified employees guarantee the reliability of the test results.
The secunet evaluation laboratory is officially accredited as test centre for technical conformity of eIDs by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
Conformity for eIDs
The security check and conformity is especially relevant for sovereign IDs, such as contactless eIDs. In our evaluation laboratory we carry out conformity tests according to the technical guideline (TR) 03105 – Part 3 of the BSI. They include the testing of the logical levels (layers 6 and 7) of eIDs. In close cooperation with an accredited partner we offer our customers conformity tests for the physical levels according to part 2 of the BSI TR-03105.
In addition we support you in further fields:
- Development and providing of test tools
- Definition of test cases
- Conformity testing
- Analysis of standard conformity (ICAO, BSI)
Compliance for biometrics software
The quality of the recorded feature and the data format in which the feature is saved in the electronic travel document are subject to specific requirements. This is the only way to ensure trouble-free deployment of the e-passport worldwide. The corresponding regulations for the entry, processing and transmission of biometric data are specified in a technical guideline (TRPDÜ) of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
secunet provides manufacturers with the opportunity to test their software components which are used within the scope of the ordering process in passport offices in view of compliance with “TRPDÜ” (TR-03104). The basis of these conformity tests for biometrics software is the BSI’s Technical Guideline 03118 - Part 2. This gives you as a manufacturer certification of the compliance of your products.
We support you in this regard with the following services:
- Testing of software for the provision of digitised ICAO or TRPDÜ compliant photographs
- Testing of software for the entry of TRPDÜ-compliant fingerprints
- Testing of software for the coding of biometric data
- Analysis of biometric data in terms of compliance with national and international guidelines and standards (ICAO, ISO, etc.)
