The vast number of IT products and systems on the market makes it difficult for the user to judge the quality of the individual products. An IT security certificate allows you to set your product apart from others to gain a decisive competitive edge.

For you as a product vendor, the certificate is a mark of distinction and quality. It serves as an excellent selling point and may, of course, be printed on the product package.

In November 2005, secunet SwissIT AG, a subsidiary of secunet Security Networks AG, was officially accredited as a certification body for IT security by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). secunet SwissIT evaluates your product and assists you in the preparations required to receive the certificate. The evaluation itself is based on a catalogue of international security criteria. The certification is follows the international Common Criteria standard (ISO/IEC 15408).
