The pilot project for introducing a Single Sign-On System

swb AG is planning to use a Single Sign-On System in order to simplify the access to its network while increasing its security level. swb AG asked secunet to carry out a pilot project. Based on this, secunet consulted swb AG on the selection of a Single Sign-On System. The solution – Evidian’s IAM 8 E-SSO – was then implemented. The advantage: Every user needs just one password for all applications. In the pilot, four applications of swb AG – namely email, intranet, SAP and the CRM – were integrated into the SSO-solution as a start.

The system significantly reduced the workload of the company’s helpdesk and increased the security level in the company-network. The intuitive user-interface allows the administrators of swb AG to integrate additional applications by themselves.
