Implementation of the GPKE regulation of the German Federal Network Agency

The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) regulates communication between partners on the energy market – records must be encrypted for transmission. In the case of invoice data (INVOIC, UStG [the German turnover tax law]), the qualified signature is legally valid proof of “authenticity of origin” and “integrity of content”.

secunet was responsible for the introduction of qualified electronic signatures for enercity Public Services Hannover. Due to the large volume of invoices subject to the GPKE regulation, enercity chose secunet’s multisign Enterprise Server.
