Networked services have become a regular part of many situations in day-to-day life. This is also true within the automotive sector with car manufacturers offering more and more innovative IT services. The spectrum ranges from the use of the web and mobile end devices in the vehicle all the way to car-to-car communication.
By making it possible to browse the web or download current driver software for end devices in the vehicle, the in-vehicle network has opened for the Internet. For the first time this has made the vehicle a potential target for Internet threats such as viruses, worms and Trojans as well as DoS and buffer overflow attacks.
In order to protect against these new threats to the vehicle, we have developed two methods which detect possible attacks directly in the vehicle at network and application level and neutralise their impact by means of appropriate protection measures.
The methods are hardware-based and are therefore secure against software attacks from the web. Driver and vehicle remain safe.
We would be pleased to support you as to the usage and management of secure hardware in the vehicle. Our many years of experience in the area of automotive security and in the production of hardware-based IT security solutions for the German Federal Government provide you with solutions you can rely on.
